Recorded in 2003, finally mastered and released for the first time over a decade later, this is raw, proto-Yea Big. Composed of on-the-fly sample manipulation from live radio, field recordings and drum breaks, a touch of guitar here and there, and a whole lot of glitches, clicks, pops, and skips, this material definitely isn't for everyone. But those of you who dig sounds like this will dig these sounds. I've finally released this record because more than a decade after it was recorded, I still find it to be oddly beautiful. Also, for those familiar with early Yea Big + Kid Static material, you will recognize some of the source material for what eventually became YB+KS tracks on our first self-titled release. 2003 Sounded Like This is a bit of Yea Big history that I hope is still relevant today.
